| | Week of 02/16/2017 - Featured Board Post I Have Skills! The reason that I'm never gaining back the 80 pounds I've lost is that now I know what to do. Some of my "dieting" or better yet, living-healthy-skills include: 1. I eat plenty of vegetables. I love them! Non-starchy vegetables are low calorie and eating them in reasonable amounts is good. Isn't it wonderful when you can feel good about eating? 2. I drink water. I know if I don't that I'm likely once again to confuse thirst with hunger. 3. I weigh myself regularly, aiming for daily, with an official weekly weigh-in that I chart. 4. I eat a healthy breakfast. 5. I can choose a satisfying food plan. If a plan isn't working for me, I can try something new. Shaking up what I eat helps me when I'm stuck. 6. I know how to modify my food plan to suit my life and still maintain my weight. 7. I consistently make time to Spark, log my food, plan my eating, connect to SparkFriends, grocery shop when hubby doesn't or I need something he didn't get, etc. 8. I can throw away food if I need to or give it to others or animals. 9. I enjoy sitting to eat and eating mindfully. I can do it consistently. 10. I can prepare myself for what the scale says and handle disappointment when I need to. That's the first 10. What can you add to the list?
