A Good Reason to Drink a Sixth Cup of Coffee

People who drink a lot of coffee may have a lower risk of developing multiple sclerosis, according to a large new study out of Stockholm. Out of 6,700 adults, those who downed about six cups of coffee every day were almost one third less likely to develop multiple sclerosis than non-drinkers were. Lead researcher Anna Hedstrom noted that no one was suggesting that people drink more coffee to ward off the disease, but she noted that the findings were "interesting." After all, that is a lot of coffee – but then again, coffee has plenty of other benefits.

Lead researcher Anna Hedstrom noted that no one was suggesting that people drink more coffee to ward off the disease, but she did say that the findings were “interesting” and that they provide evidence that the link between MS and coffee consumption is worth exploring.

We know – that is a lot of coffee. But then again, just one or two daily cups of coffee can have plenty of other benefits.
