Hi Everyone
It's been another week of taking it easy and recovering. Today (Saturday) my wife took me out to lunch for jambalaya at a nearby cajun restaurant, one of my favorite dishes in part because one of my best friends used to make this on special occasions.
I had some longer phone calls this with that were a lot of fun, but a little taxing, so I didn't do too much writing.
So, I thought I'd just send out a quick update to say that all is well and share a short blog showing my protector dog from earlier this week. Starting next week, I will write more about a new feature we are working that is very exciting.

I thought I'd share a fun story. Our dog Flash is a very compassionate dog. He became friends with our guinea pig Pudding. She felt so comfortable with him that she'd even fall asleep with him laying right next to her in an open box when they were inches apart.
We got Flash from an animal rescue. He probably accidentally ran away from home because he's really fast and sometimes just "bolts."
We weren't really sure we wanted a dog yet, but Flash decided we would be his family :).
Flash always misses people when anyone leaves for school or anywhere else. He likes when everyone is together and we go for a walk or to the beach so he can meet other dogs.
Before my surgery, I was 4th on Flash's list, but not by much and for good reason. We're pretty sure his original owner was a woman because he immediately adopted my wife as his mom (she couldn't resist his charms). And he loved playing with our two boys. But now he realizes he has work to do with me to help me heal, so that has evened things out :).
Flash was sad when I was away at the hospital for 6 days. When I got home and he saw something was wrong, he has been by my side most of the time since then. If someone tries to take him away, he growls at them.
Since he wants to be so close, I put his little bed in a chair next to me when I'm working on the computer.
Here is a 40-second video of this if you'd like to see him (he's sleepy in this video; he's a lot more active when he's not sleepy).
I hope you had a good week reaching goals! Thanks again for all of your support!
