Hi there, When I first got into fiber arts, I was drawn to needle and wet felting by the fact that you could make ANYTHING out of sheep wool. I mean, I had never really worked with wool before, and all of a sudden I was knee deep (literally) in the stuff. I helped a neighbor shear her sheep and she gave me all the wool I wanted in exchange. She had no use for it and I had just discovered needle felting. Boy was I in my element. | | I started with a needle felted mouse - or was it a rabbit - we'll never know. Then I used some of the wool to stuff some knitted toys I had made. I'll never forget the wholesome smell. Then I got intentional. I started a little nature table in the corner of our dining room and made all sorts of animals, fairy folk and homes for them to live in. I put green wool on some branches in a vase to make them look like trees. I made colorful butterflies with my 4 and 5 year olds. I wet felt play mats for their toys. You couldn't stop me. I was hooked! Now, I still love working with wool, but I haven't been as active as I'd been past those years. Moving to the USA, homeschooling 4 children and growing a booming business has not left a whole lot of creative "me" time. But 2024 is the year I'm going to change that. I'm going all in. It's time to rekindle my love (dare I say, my NEED) for creating. Will you join me? I can't wait to share this journey with you during the Fiber Fiesta in a few weeks! | | During this event, which is happening Feb 27 - 29, I've invited 10 experts to help us re-discover our need for creating things with our own hands and explore new fiber arts. And the best part? Even though it's easily valued at over $300, it's only $10. All you have to do is register, which you can do by clicking the button below. | | | | |
