Hi SparkFriends
For the past 6 weeks or so, I had a case of mono that really sapped my energy. Today I wrote a blog about weathering this setback and now getting back to moving forward. I thought I would share this with you as a case study for building healthy habits into all areas of your life to help you stay on track when the inevitable setbacks hit.

As I mentioned in my last blog, I have set a new goal to blog 50% of the 60 days for the rest of the year from November 2 - December 31. That is 30 of 60 days. My goal is to help you stay motivated during the holidays so you keep taking positive steps in a way that could help you reduce holiday stress so you can have more fun.
Today is day 2 of 4 = 50% so right on target so far :).
I'm still alive on my 10+ fitness minutes streak as well (just barely a few days when I was sick). I need to check my spreadsheet to see the current day I'm on and will report that in the next blog.
I hope you had a good weekend?
Great weekend here! We had family movie night last night and I made popcorn for the family. My wife tested using avocado oil last week, so I tried this as well. It has a good flavor!
I used this weekend to do a lot of fitness working to build my base back up after the mono setback.
Fortunately, I can tell that I didn't lose tooooo much of my strength/endurance, but did lose some. The strong habits I've built gave me good "anchors" so I didn't completely fall off the wagon during a fairly significant setback, so I'm happy about that.
This is a good example to everyone about the value of building healthy habits. Unless you are incredibly lucky, there is a high chance that some setback will hit and the strength of your healthy habits can help determine both how you weather that setback and then how fast you bounce back.
Mentally I'm a little discouraged about the setback, but not too much because I know I didn't fall off much and now I can get back to moving ahead with healthy habits in all areas of life.
Are you building strong habits to help weather that next setback and then get back to moving forward?

Absolutely that's part of life. The detours, the challenges. But maintaining the good habits helps us weather the storm. Not easy, but so worthwhile.

Here's to a great week for all of us!
