| | Week of 02/28/2019 - Featured Blog Post Decide to Be Positive I was chatting with a SparkPeople member on Facebook and she's incredibly down on herself for making a few choices that she regrets. But what if the focus was on all the choices she's made recently that do carry her in the direction of healthier living? Those far outweigh a handful of off-target choices. In fact, deciding to focus on what you have done well recently, and most importantly, what you're going to do next, is another healthy choice. It's up to you how you view your weight loss efforts. And your decision to be positive and to encourage yourself is probably the number one most important thing you can do to ensure your success. None of us do well when beaten down by a discouraging boss, coworker, spouse, or friend. Now if that critical person is actually living in our own body? Nope, not a formula for success. Pay attention to your self-talk and make decisions to notice your successful efforts. Make a positive choice to encourage yourself today.
