| | Week of 07/26/2018 - Featured Blog Post Making YOU a Priority This month our focus was on "making YOU a priority". What are some ways you take a self-care break? What have you learned from your friends or animals about taking care of yourself? When I take a self-care break I do something I enjoy. It might be going for a walk, doing some gardening, taking a nice hot bath or reading a book. I've learned over the years that it's not selfish to put yourself first especially if you feel like you are struggling with something. A couple of months ago I bought the Pilates kit for my Total Gym. I felt a little bad for spending the money but I know my health is important. I'm glad that I did because it has really helped me to shed inches from many different parts of my body. Also, this month I had to put myself first and get some dental work done. Once again, I didn't want to spend the money, but I had to put myself first. Cats always do what they want to do. Dogs will do anything for their human parent and cats just don't care. What I mean is, a cat will do what they want without thinking about what their human parent wants. I'm not saying you should do things without thinking about other people around you, I'm just trying to say that it's okay to think about yourself and your needs now and then. What do you to to make yourself a priority?
