I'm heading out on vacation this week, which means I've been thinking a lot about living healthy when you're outside of your normal routine. I'm not going to lie, I've taken sneakers, jump ropes, resistance bands and yoga mats in suitcases in the past, only to have them shoved to the bottom of my backpack by day two. Internally, the two sides of my brain are arguing: On the one hand, shouldn't I relax? On the other, won't this affect my progress? What I've decided is yes. To both. Yes, I should relax, but I also shouldn't eat ice cream on the beach until I pass out. Staying fit on the road doesn't have to match your at-home routine.
