Hi SparkFriends
Thanks to everyone who joined the new SparkTeam for my Small Goals Commitment Challenge! We're already over 1,100 members with great team activity and a fun co-leader to help motivate you (thanks Jan)! I also send out notes to team members almost every day. Here is the team if you'd like to join for fun, motivation, and support.
Next, if you are interested in seeing possibly the most fun form of fitness I've ever tried, check out this blog with a 6-second video of me doing this type of fitness. I'm not over-hyping this. It's even more fun than it looks!
Have you ever wondered why I make posts to SparkPeople and Facebook asking people to hit like if they have done at least 10 minutes of fitness today? Here is the answer: Last week I published my favorite lesson so far for the Small Goals Commitment Challenge called: Why the 10+ Fitness Minutes Strategy Works -- and Can Change Your Life!
This strategy was featured in my book "The Spark" and on our website, so I know it has transformed the lives of many thousands of people.
It took me many years of experimenting to figure out this formula that changed my life. Now you can learn it in a few minutes of reading and then put it into action. Hopefully you will get similar results and also pay it forward by being a Positive Force sparking others to do the same (either directly sparking them or being a Healthy Leader by example)!
Here are two member comments from this lesson that are perfect examples of this in action:

It is working for me! Ten minutes exercising first thing in the morning has now increased to 20 minutes. The exercise propels me to a better start to my day. My attitude and stress management abilities have both improved. I now consume half the amount of coffee as I did before I began exercising in the morning and I eat a nutritious breakfast. Did I mention I am NOT a morning person? Maybe I should say that I used to not be a morning person.

The "just have to do 10 minutes" is what got me exercising. I figured I can do just about anything for 10 minutes. Funny how that worked. Suddenly 10 minutes became 15, then 20, so forth and so on. Now I exercise at least 30 minutes every day. That 10 minutes prompted me to get a Spark Tracker first , and later, a Fitbit. I now walk a minimum of 10K steps a day, every day. Believe it people, 'just 10 minutes' can set you up for a lifetime exercise habit. At least it worked that way for me.
