Yes, you heard us right: We don't think joining a gym should be your resolution. It's not that we don't love gyms (we do!), but if you're brand new to exercise, joining a gym on January 1 could end up being disastrous. For many, the gym symbolizes health in such a powerful way that it's difficult for them to consider that there are other options if fitness is the objective.
