How to make it a great week!

SparkPeopleHello from Sparkguy

Hi SparkFriends

I am testing a new day to send out my weekly email. The reason is to get this to you right at the start of the week to give you an extra spark boost for your week.

Keep visualizing that you don't need to make big changes all at once or lose a bunch of weight in a short amount of time. Instead the best way to do this is to take it:

One week at a time...
One day at a time...
One positive decision at a time...

To show your committment to make this a good week, just click here to press the SparkButton committing to reach one small goal at a time. You don't need to be logged in to do this, so it only takes a couple of seconds and can give you a nice boost to start your week. Then feel free to come back anytime you want a spark to stay on track this week.

Sad News

We heard sad news last week that Anissa (username Miss-Willow) passed away recently after her battle with liver cancer. She did so much in our community encouraging members that if she could keep fighting while doing chemotherapy, then others could also keep fighting to reach their goals.

As an ongoing tribute to Anissa, I elevated a story I wrote about her into a full lesson for the Small Goals Commitment Challenge. Here is one great comment from a member about how Anissa motivated her:

When I was saying to myself, I can't do this (exercise) I happened upon this young lady's featured post blog. She talked about exercising while being treated for cancer. After reading her story, I realized my not wanting to do exercise was not a sufficient excuse.

Here was a cancer patient who was exercising daily to the best of her ability and I was not just because "I did not want to do it." Her blog inspired me to enter an exercise challenge and commit to 100 days of exercise. I successfully made it through the challenge and developed an exercise habit that I continue through this day.

I did not know Miss Willow but I will never forget how she helped me to be my best self.

Rest In Peace. God is looking out for you now.

Here is her story if you didn't see this.

Are you ready to make this a great week? Do you like this new day for receiving my weekly email?

Let me know in today's blog!

SparkCheers!
